the Bible says, the stone the builders reject will be made the chief cornerstone...

This is an apt description of Marlon Samuels at this time of his career....He has finally put his past transgressions behind and has matured as an individual...
He has compelled his bat to do the talking and has shown a humility that has eluded him for a while now..

God Bless you Marlon...hope you and Bradman Nash bat this game out of the hands of the titties, since you will soon become the mainstay of the WI batting line up :)

Jala, I don't think anyone rejected Marlon. Actually, Marlon was picking up his game before the ban. However, Marlon looks a bit more matured and hopefully he can come back stronger... To be honest Samuel stats is below average in Test and average for ODI as a batsman.

Yes Samuels is a changed man who is showing "seniors" like Sars and Chanders how to bat properly!!..and of course with ELEGANCE!! , his stats in the past might not have been the best, but he's more mature now and the likes of Chanders certainly aren't justifying their averages right now.

once again you are picking on the wrong players... You are attacking the CORE of WI batting and the stats don't lie. But carry on, when you ready to look at the cold hard stats, I'm here. :D

No you get me wrong, i'm attacking a player who has been out of form FOR OVER A YEAR!!.. :D , Sarwan i'd be prepard to give a chance to but not Chanders, it's time to move FORWARD, not BACKWARDS.

Your bias is very obvious, I'll leave in the capable hands of Mike regarding Shiv.
Look back at the stats on the other thread and analyze them good.

Anyways, Marlon is having a excellent regional 4day and had a good T20 competition as well. The regional ODI, he was injured if I recalled correctly but didn't mek much for the games he played.

Hope he gets a chance against the Pakistanis and Inda at home. What is Sammy's home and away stats?

Yes i am biased!!.. AGAINST A 36 YEAR OLD WHO'S BEEN OUT OF FORM FOR OVER A YEAR AND WAS DROPPED AT THE WORLD CUP TOO FOR PLAYING POORLY!!, unless you're suggesting i'm biased for different reasons?

As for Samuels, he's certain to get into the side now imo, which is why there is simply no room for Shiv, we can't play seven batsmen and neglect the bowling unit and we can't drop Darren, Gayle, Barath, Dwayne or Nash so two out of Sars, Samuels and Shiv are gonna be on the bench imo.

No, just biased from an age perspective... Hope you don't get old in your career. Age shouldn't be a factor for consideration if you doing an excellent job.

I'll leave this one for the selectors.. :)

Dwayne can't make the team if Sammy is Captain. One alrounder or whatever you want to call Sammy. One day he is Cappo, next #3 batsman, next a bowler. I guess whatever works to justify his existence on the team. Come back on your thread don't run

Well if you've been out of form for over a year and you're old too then it's only natural that people will assume that age has something to do with it, also Shiv isn't doing an "excellent" job so that argument is out of the window straight away!! ,

As for Dwayne, well he was in the team against SL despite Sammy being captain already, i pray he's fit on time because that would really put Gibbo and those dumb selectors under huge pressure to drop Sammy.

Well nobody is dropping Sammy if he doesn't resigned. Until then Dwayne will play second fiddle to Sammy. IF you have a problem with that..take up with Hunte and Hilaire :)
