So far, Gayle is the leading Windian in the IPL, having made a big impact in just three games that he's played. He's hit 177 runs at an average of 88, and a SR of 186. He's also taken one wicket so far....

Pollard just can't buy any runs!
he's played eight matches for just 24 runs, and his five wickets have come at an expensive ER of 8.31.

In his four matches to date, Taylor has taken four wickets at an ER of 7.93.

Sadly i don't much rate Pollard. He is young and may yet live up to his potential however from what i see he lacks a cricketing brain when batting for West Indies. He is too hit or miss and WI can't afford that luxury in the team.

Simon Doull just said that Jerome Taylor is one of the best exponents of away swing bowling he's seen in the past five to six years....

But 11 runs conceded off that first over, including a difficult drop chance in the deep by Wagh.

I like Taylor, he is a good bowler and handy with the bat too... :D

Why is Taylor in not playing for WI?

Taylor's two overs have conceded 20 runs....

Windies can't pay Taylor what Pune does....
:D
That said, it's a bit hypocritical of the WICB to insist that Gayle play for the Windies, while Taylor and Pollard are not. And Big Bravo will be joining them soon....
