Dear Dr. Hilaire,
Re: Allegations of indiscipline and lack of application

This is to acknowledge receipt of your response, dated April 28, 2011 to my letter of April 27, 2011 in which I drew to your attention certain remarks you made, which were reported on the ESPN website cricinfo.com.

Here's an excerpt of that interview Hilaire gave....

http://www.windiescricket.com/content/t ... ine-length" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

"We stated clearly last year that we were at the bottom, we’ve been doing things a particular way for the last 15 years, it has not brought us success. We must do it differently. We must be brave, we must be bold, we must be daring and we must be prepared to make fundamental changes and face the criticisms that will come from making those decisions. You want to have individuals who have the right attitude and disposition to training, to team meetings, to building that togetherness and cohesiveness. You don’t want somebody who goes out there to play and their first concern is to score 45 because that is the average they want to keep. You want individuals who are told this is the game plan for the team, this is where we’re going, this is what we need of you, between certain stages of the game this is what we expect of you to do. You want a ‘team’, you want guys who will be prepared to sacrifice average, if necessary, for the team."

Now, when you read that section of the interview, who else can Hilaire be talking about aside from Shiv? Who's the only player who's been in the side for the last 15 years? Who's the only player in the side who averages over 45? Is there any surprise that Shiv would come to the conclusion that Hilaire's talking about him?

If he isn't, then Hilaire needs to come and say who he is talking about, and the WICB need to stop issuing these silly press releases about whether a letter is signed or not....
