So who will open with Simmons since Sarwan is not an opener?

Good question....

Edwards?

There has only been one change to this squad (Sarwan for Smith), so I don't expect any miracles on Monday. However, it would be good to see Sarwan coming to the crease after Darren Bravo, instead of enduring another snail-like struggle from a Samuels-Edwards partnership....

It would also be good to see Sarwan hitting some form, because I think it's between Sarwan and Samuels for the final batting spot in the first Test in Guyana.

Mike,

I think Edwards will open the batting too...which means Samuels might sit out for Sarwan and Russell to make way for Baugh.

If all this pain is for WC. 2015 Then Simmons should be groomed as keeper. Trini should also help by making him odi and 20/20 keeper.

Simmons ODI stats is only 22.84. He should work on his batting first..no?

simmons has improved just like haffez has for pak...hafeez was so poor look at his stats he is playing so well for last one year but still his average is 24...so look at the recent form simmons is playing quite well in a team that didnt have sarwan till last odi against the most diffficult bowling line up in the world
