why was it given to Sammy?

Why not Ravi? both men took 7 wickets...but Ravi was the one that pushed Pakistan right on the back foot from the start! Meanwhile Sammy was hiding... :lol:

sammy tek a five-fer when it counted. he is deserving. Bish have a claim too, batting and bowling....but he did nothing in the second innings.

sammy has to be given credit also, for working through his bowling to find wat wud get Pak out once Bish did not fiyah

looking at the overall numbers in the game despite the result...

Ajmal was the player of the game! He took a 5/69 in the 1st innings and 6/42 in the 2nd. A match haul of 11/111. That is more than half of the wickets for Pak. IMPRESSIVE!

I would guess so... But what exactly the MOM award of is all about, game result or overall player performance in the game?

I agree bally, Ajmal was the most impressive of all the bowlers.

However, if you have to pick someone from the winning side...why not Ravi? first over, 2 wickets....If Pak had a good start WI would have been weeping rain today!

good question. MOM shud be the best player in the game regardless of which team wins.

dats wat the americans do anyway. and dat is wat deh want to make of cricket...an american sport

Sammy won dat MOM squaely. his was a good choice if yo have to pik MOM from the winner.

it was Sammy, Bisho and only den Rampaul. if Bish got it I wud not mind. sammy get it and its deserving too.

give it up man! sammy did a good all-round job this game

ah didnt watch the game...and I can't imagine any game where Sammy with his dibbly dobbly would be mom! :lol:

still..if yu assume correctly dat Pak did not throw their wickets away... den a 5 fer is a 5 fer.

and if yuh main strike-bowler fails and you fart around in tight circumstances until you find wat works..dat must be creditable too, not so? :shock:
