Toss, 0938 Pakistan have won the toss and will bat, a positive start for their bid to level the series. The pitch at Warner Park has always been a batter-friendly venue. So no surprise.
The big team news from the West Indies camp is that Shiv Chanderpaul has a sore shoulder and is not playing. Marlon Samuels replaces him. Samuels had a epic struggle in the ODIs, he just couldn't score against spin. Big challenge ahead of him.
Brathwaite makes his debut as well, but we'll have to wait to see him bat.
Pakistan have left out Umar Gul, and are playing medium-pacer Tanvir Ahmed.

That's a big loss....badpepper wrote:Shiv injured.

Now, it's up to the future WIndies team to show that they can actually bat without the great man.
I really do have to question Gibson's policy of weights training for some of these guys....

Surprisingly warm and sunny here on the outskirts of London....badpepper wrote:Very warm and sunny here in Florida. And I have the afternoon offGreat day for cricket.

Already, this is looking like a good batting track. Can we rely on the Pakistani openers to donate us a wicket or two?

Ravi strikes....17/1
7.3 Rampaul to Taufeeq Umar, OUT, caught behind! Umar was too late in lifting his glove out of the way! The delivery was similar to the first one of the over, pitching in line with the stumps and slanting across the left-hander, very close to off. This one was quicker, bounced a bit more, and clipped the glove as Umar was trying to avoid it
Taufeeq Umar c †Baugh b Rampaul 11 (23b 1x4 0x6) SR: 47.82

Rampaul strikes again...22/2 Both overs are wicket maidens..

9.1 Rampaul to Mohammad Hafeez, OUT, edged and caught at third slip! Rampaul bowls another superb ball that kicks off a length from outside off stump and angles into the right-hander from over the wicket. Hafeez was caught on the crease as he pushed at it. The ball hit the outside edge high on the bat and flew to Simmons at third slip
Mohammad Hafeez c Simmons b Rampaul 8 (26b 1x4 0x6) SR: 30.76
