Accroding to Gayle's tweet, he will be in India for another month.

henrygayle I'm just relaxing on the pool side with the great Pommas,only we 2 left back in India...nothing to do for a month so,holiday time start now!

Stupid decision to leave out Gayle, especially when you consider that the BCCI allowed half a dozen of their best players to choose the IPL over aspects of a Test and ODI tour of the West Indies....

This is a silly comment! The issue isn't about IPL over country, it's about Gayle's ability to co-operate with the coach and the board in their plans for the WI team at present and going forward. Aren't you aware of that scathing interview he had with KLAS radio in Jamaica where he proceeded with reckless abandon to slam the coach and the board? Do you really think that the relationship right now between all parties is amicable? That meeting is definitely necessary before Gayle can be considered to represent WI. How can he be picked to play when he has made it clear that he has little (if any) respect for the coach and his directives? I just hope that all parties arrive at common ground in that meeting and things can proceed smoothly with Gayle on board.

But remember...WEST INDIES CRICKET IS BIGGER THAN ANY ONE MAN!!! Gayle's record in Tests and ODIs are good but not exceptional, so why the hell would we miss him more than we did Lara or Viv et al? I can understand outsiders getting carried away with Gayle's performance in voop cricket, but West Indians should know better!!! This is the same Chris Gayle that has fustrated us over all these years with his inconsistency and the same one who did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for us in 3 consecutive WC!!!

Get a grip on yourselves people!!!
