He might be excited but i ain't. Plain and simple - he is not an international standard cricketer. The ipl and big bash can keep him and he can keep his money. What a waste of a maroon shirt!

you are being a tad tough on the young man, no? He is a good fieldsman and will give you couple overs .

I am sorry to say that being able to field is an absolute necessity for anyone who wants to play the game at the international level. Therefore I refuse to get carried away by that aspect of his game.

For the length of time he has been on the international scene he surely ought to have been a key performer for the West Indies - and i don't mean as a hopeful but as someone who will definitely deliver say 8 times out of ten. And to think that he is in the team as an all-rounder! What a misnomer.

As for his bowling???!!! is he gonna bowl a side out defending a total of less than 250 in a 50 over game? No! So, as far as i am concerned he is occupying a place in the team that someone else should get a chance at.

He has another chance today in the 4th ODI: West Indies v India at North Sound, Jun 13, 2011. He has come out to bat at the fall of Samuals the 4th wicket whilst the score was 89.
What will he do today?

Hi BallOil, don't hang on waiting for me to kowtow in homage to Pollard's contribution yesterday - I won't. As someone wiser than me once said:"One swallow doesn't make a summer".

I note that his batting yesterday was not all about 'power hitting' but he also demonstrated a great deal of discretion in choosing which ball to hit. His running between the wickets was also sensible and Baugh was a good support.

I am of course pleased that he contributed something positive with the bat in keeping with all the hype that he attracts - long may it continue. Well done to him.

Lets give the batsman the benefit of the doubt and lets watch a few more innings. Pollard is still young and would prefer having him on the team rather than Sammy.
