Cricket Administrators Family Day Sunday
THE TRINIDAD and Tobago Cricket Board has organised a Family Day for the administrative staff of their seven affiliated zones and Tobago on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the National Cricket Centre situated in Balmain, Couva.
Feature of the day’s activities will be a eagerly anticipated North versus South Clash which is expected to attract several former top national and club cricketers who are now adding their experience and expertise to the administration of the sport locally.
Manohar Ramsaran, the Administrative Manager of the T&TCB said yesterday that the event is designed to bring together the hardworking officials of the respective zones and the National League together with their families for a day of fun activities.
He said that an invitation has gone out to participants in Sunday’s match to immediately contact him so the teams can be finalized although he acknowledged that there is some debate on where the line of demarcation exists between North and South.
“Some believe that the Caroni River Bridge is the physical separation but there are others who will tell you the Chaguanas Main Road is the line,” said Ramsaran, a former UNC Minister of Sports. He said action will get underway at noon and he expects a good response from the T&TCB officers throughout the country.
