I have come to change my mind about the Indian batting for this series. on full consideration I now think that Dravid and laxman...Kohli and Raina plus Dhoni look very strong indeed against westindian bowling.

additionally the new openers are likely to have something to offer. so this Indian batting side shud not be underestimated at all.

whici is why I am very worried about the bowling. no matter what Bishoo is young and inexperienced. when he is done with this Indian tour I will wager he will have been seasoned well for he is likley to know then wat a real test batting side looks and feels like...on the fiold for a day and half chasing leather

westindies needs in their bowling at least 1 bowler who has done it all, has been through the mill and can stand up to the grind.

Rampaul is a must but he has not been through it himself. he has a lot of support experience other than tests. but this will be his first season of 5 full tests.

it is the same for sammy and for Roach as well.

it may not be enuff against real experienced test batting...so I warn dat we shud look out for a real test for such as Bish and Ravi and Roach.

sammy is besides he point! he has a whole lot to prove!

Confident in his ability to contain - for a while. But what WI need are bowlers able to make inroads into the opposition batting lineup. As a bowler at Test level on West Indian wickets and in West Indies conditions Sammy may always struggle to be a real force. We will see.
