cannot bat...me seh suh....he is a wicket waiting to be taken with every ball...whether its a good or bad ball...

His technique fuh an international batsman is very mediocre...no real foot movements...too much fishing outside the off stump...cannot consistently make good decision as an opener...very premeditated in his shot...bowlers are aware of it now and he goose will soon be cooked and we will have to go back to Devon Smith III...Sorry Jala....Dowlin is DONE!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Barath made a hundred in his first test against Australia; He made 50 in his first test against Sri lanka; And he made 64 in his first test against India.

THE BOY CAN BAT!

But does he have the discipline and the temperament to average 40+ in tests ?

I'm not yet sold on that!

Thats the reason why I feel this way...Discipline is the key to success and far too often he is playing ill advised shot...remember that Ton against OZ was his first game...after his first game against top class nations, he would be figured out and I see him having major problems in adjusting... 8-)

Barath's Gayle like approach in the 2nd innings at sabina hinted to me that he would have a problem with CONSISTENCY in tests----he made a quick 38----then gave his wicket away playing an injudicious shot.

Had he approached his 2nd innings at Sabina like he did his 1st innings---with patience and discipline-------the WI may have pulled off a miracle.

Anyway, your CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM of Barath is spot on.

coach should be working with him. He is playing too much damn t20...he needs to focus more on the longer version of the game.

Had he approached his 2nd innings at Sabina like he did his 1st innings---with patience and discipline-------the WI may have pulled off a miracle.
His out yesterday was like giving de Indian slip cordon fielding practice....I also notice that there is a certain swagger in him dat says that he can destroy any bowlers.....He needs someone to get into his head and fix dat soon....Who else to teach him about what he is missing...patience...Dessie.... 8-) :lol:
