SO WHO WILL REPLACE SARS AND SIMMONS?

Their poor form is pretty much killing us right now as when they fail early it puts huge amounts of pressure on the middle order which is why we can barely score 200 runs these days, Nash got dropped despite being the vice captain and i see the same coming for both Sars and Simmons, but the question is who replaces them?
As far as Sars is concerned i think Kirk Edwards will easily slot into his position and i'm hopeful that he will do well, lets remember he averages 41 in FC cricket, which is more than Darren Bravo at the moment, he might not have set the ODIs on fire but that's not his favorite format and he's not an opener either,
Now we move onto who replaces Simmons, Gayle would obviously be everyones first choice but we all know that's not likely to happen anytime soon, and Devon Smith's career is done as far as i'm concerned, so that leaves Kraigg Brathwaite and Kiaran Powell!!, both of whome have done well for the A-team and of course Kraigg made his Test debut already against Pakistan, if i had to guess i think they'd probably go for Brathwaite again, i saw him carrying drinks for the guys yesterday so clearly he's still training with the squad,
I just hope young Kraigg has learned from his debut and has ironed out the minor technical issues he had at the crease, because believe me his style of batting is exactly what this team needs right now, a kid who is cautious and determined to keep his wicket at all cost.

I wud not drop any of the batsmen. I am sticking till the end of the series.
only if Gayles comes in I wud make a change and dat wud be to drop Baugh and put simmons behind.
in fact I would have done dat for this test here and play Edwards the batsman too.
its a waste to play Baugh when 2 things are clear about Simmons and 1 about Baugh
Baugh will never amount to much as a batsman at the top level. and neither will simmons amount to the top class batsman he needs to be up the order
but Simoms is a better batsman than Baugh and we will certainly get more from him at #7 that from Baugh. atndat least he is as good as Baugh as keeper and with experience is likely to get better

Very interesting realignment of the squad maps. I can't find myself being as harsh as you in assessment of Baugh since his return, however the overall conclusions you draw may have some merit even though you predicate the change on Gayle being selected in the team. A pity WI could not have tried your suggestion in the two one-day series. Nice Idea. I drop Sarwan and play Brathwaite batting at number four.mapoui wrote: ... its a waste to play Baugh when 2 things are clear about Simmons and 1 about Baugh. WHO WILL REPLACE SARS AND SIMMONS ?
Have some patience! Wait until the 2nd innings.
All Sars needs to hold his place is a fifty; ditto Simmons.
If Sars fails again in the 2nd innings---he's gone; ditto Simmons.
Next in line---Kirk Edwards and the Brathwaite boy.

The reason why Sars and Simmons are still in the side is because both Edwards and Brathwaite are not good enough yet....
Kirk can't play spin, and Kraigg needs more FC experience before being giving a tryout in the Test side.

As fo Kraigg, well he's made his debut already and i'm sure he's learned from that exprience, what have we got to lose by giving him another chance? Simmons is garbage right now.
