BUTTER FINGER BRAVO: The Boy Has A catching Phobia

The cricket world has been told that Darren Bravo---current test average 38.10---is the next Brian lara and the next West Indies great.
What the cricket world is now finding out is Lil Bravo has a catching phobia---he is deathly afraid of catches.
Read this comment on cricinfo:
Bishoo to Laxman, FOUR, dropped and not for the first time by Darren Bravo. He can imitate Brian Lara with the bat, but his catching is not quite up to scratch. This may have dropped just in front of him, but better fielders would have scooped it. Short ball from Bishoo that just hurried in towards Laxman who was committed to the pull and couldn't keep it down. Bravo at midwicket dived forward, but could not get the fingers under it.
Oh well! Lil Bravo is set for life---with a huge test average of 38+----the man is unstoppable and undroppable.
So what if Lil Bravo floors a catch a match----he is the next WI great----that's what he has been told---and likely believes.

WHY DO YU CALL MY NAME LIKE DAT EVEN AFTER ALL I HAVE SAID HERE?
IT SEEMS YOU HAVE AN IMPRESSION OF ME DAT I HAVE A BIAS, HELD IN A CERTAIN WAY AND NO MATTER WAT i SAY THAT MAY SUGGEST TO THE CONTRAY..DAT IS WAT YU BELIEVE!
well you cyan feel in the end watever yu want to feel. is up to you!
but to commom sense! I have pointed out wat I see the batting problem with lil Bravo is. BP hit the nail on the head when he described lil Bravo as swell-headed. watching him in the field today proves what BP claimed. Bravo is swell-headed and is in real emotional trouble.
and there is where my bias if anything kicks in. i do not wish to see the destruction of his potential for obvious reasons,...he is talented, young and blac... and if there is anyway he cud be saved I hope it is found and applied.
but by all consideations at this time from what I saw today lil Bravo shud be dropped fortwith. he is not scoring, his attitude is bad, he will not score because if and he shud be dropped immediately... and remdial action taken...like back to the performance centre, sessions with psychologists etc.
Bravo shud be out of it for a while, allowed to regroup and come back when he has proven he has developed the right attitude to his batting, to the game of cricket in general including his fielding. he is going noweher now and corrcective action shud be taken..to save him and to improve westindies side

mus' be mih mood...Gayles letter. dat is the most depressing thing I have seen in some time. it proves the cancerous nature of blac westindian culture, dat we are going at all , save perhaps all the way down.
it suddenly became clear dat dotish lil Bravo is a stupid part of all of dat, dat big bravo is too, simmons, Pollard...all players with stupid attitudes dat coudl flow only from the way blac culture is in trinidad and the westindies in general
wat a situation and the wicb and the blac leadrship are too, products of the idiocy they refused to correct in independnce, by changing society to produce people of quality, as james argued with them to do and deh put him in jail
we are in a state of descent, decline with no obstacle in our way that may stop us on our way down, even just by collision, inadvertently, so once stopped we make get up shake weself and climb back up

Bravo batted well today when the team needed him. I don't think they would drop him but he has to work on his catching.

Yep! Bravo atoned for that dropped catch!
It would have been nice if he could have scored his first test hundred---anyway, his test average stays above 40---its 41.27 after 7 tests----good going.
