The West Indies Players Association (WIPA) on behalf of Chris Gayle and the best interests of West Indies Cricket today thanked the Heads of Government of the CARICOM Community for their decision to intervene in West Indies Cricket.

I read the wors of the sec general of caricom and if the report is accurate, I see in them a retreat from the angry and open-ended comments of Bharat jagdeo on intervening in caricom
what and how the sec general spoke indicates a structuring of caricom intent that tells me at least that westindians interested in the cricket situation better limit their expectations of intent to intevene in in the affais of cricket admin istration by the heads of govenment.
if they do intervene it will be a narrowly focused theing with no intent to clean up the wicb fundamentally. gayle may be re-selected at the end of the process but that wud be the only somewhat positive result of caricom intervention. and the fans may not even get that
