Looks like you silent as a mouse today!!.. i wonder why? :D let me remind people about what you said about Kirk Edwards shall i? 8-)

BEFORE HE MADE HIS TEST DEBUT!!..
mikesiva wrote: As for Kirk Edwards, his technique is too loose to open the batting in Tests. He could do it in ODIs, but not as a Test batsman. Maybe he could come in for Sarwan in the middle order, but I don't have much confidence in him right now....

If Kirk is the alternative, then I would rather stick with Sarwan, and hope he regains his form sooner rather than later.

PS You only have to look at replays of the ODIs to see that Kirk is extremely suspect to spin. It's not anything to do with trying to score fast, it's a case of looking clueless, a la Devon Smith.
:)
But if it makes you feel better, go on hyping up Kirk Edwards as the saviour of West Indies cricket, and we will see what happens when he gets his chance....
And
mikesiva wrote:The reason why Sars and Simmons are still in the side is because both Edwards and Brathwaite are not good enough yet....

Kirk can't play spin, and Kraigg needs more FC experience before being giving a tryout in the Test side.
THEN AFTER HE WAS WRONGLY JUDGED OUT IN HIS FIRST INNINGS YOU SAID!!..
mikesiva wrote:Kieran Powell and Kirk Edwards managed just nine runs between them....
We would've been better off sticking with Sarwan and Simmons.

What's the point of pushing youngsters into a team before their ready, just because they happen to be young?

So far, Powell and Edwards are failing the Rampaul Test.
Wah me tell you? I KNOW MY CRICKET AND I KNEW KIRK WOULD COME THROUGH IN THE LONGER FORM OF THE GAME, too many people think they are some kind if cricket "expert" when in reality they've got a lot to learn!!.

Sorry, I was away in Paris, where's there's no cricket coverage....
8-)
I also had no access to the internet, and ended up hearing the news from a CMS poster who lives in Paris, who met up with me, and told me what happened.

I'm happy to be proven wrong by Kirk Edwards. Congrats to the young man!

He deserves a long run in the side, now, with that performance in the final Test....

LOL you don't need to make up stories Mike!!.. just admit you wanted to let the dust settle before you show your face!! .

But anyways i agree the kid needs a good run in the team now, looking at the England side Trott never made his Test debut until he he was around 28, and i'm hoping Kirk can be determined as him at the crease.
