Fans are in for a treat in mid-August when the T&T Cricket Board (TTCB) hosts a four-nation T20 series, involving Barbados, Jamaica, Guyana and the host country at the Queen’s Park Oval from August 19-21.
Team manager Omar Khan said yesterday the event has not been finalised but he was keen on making the series part of the preparations for the Champions League qualifiers. Khan said he was looking for meaningful practice for his players and the three visiting countries are likely to seriously test the regional champions. “We are hoping the stars will be available because the West Indies team is not on tour. Having them will bring out the crowds and serve as an opportunity for the local fans to see our players before they fly out to India.”

The national team is expected to leave shortly for Canada to play a three-way series involving Afghanistan and the host country. A 15-man team will be named tomorrow. link
