England 221

first ball wicket for Anderson/England..
0.1 Anderson to Mukund, OUT, 132.8 kph, a wicket first ball! Mukund plays a loose drive and edges to gully! The crowd is going berserk! Full from Anderson, pitches it up from over the stumps outside off and looking for the airy drive. Mukund obliges. Horrendous shot to play first ball, he gets half across and looks to drive straight. His feet are in Lord's, his shot is being played at Trent Bridge. Classic set up, clean edge, nicely held. England on top. India have lost all the specialist openers they have on tour off the first ball of this innings.

A Mukund c Pietersen b Anderson 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Just goes to show that India don't need a semi-fit Zaheer Khan to bowl well....
8-)
They should've omitted him from the first Test, too.

Afro pissed with mih but Dravid is very intelligent batsman. I noticed dat this last time in the westindies which is why I pushed lil Bravo to use him s example.

I wondered wat the hell Dravid was doing by standing to leg an' watching the ball...den plying shot..without getting behind the ball.

the pitch was playing treacherously low and he did not want to get LBW.

reading about Dravids batting in this innings here against england...there it is again...clear, high batting intelligence.

lil Bravo shud get films of Dravid and learn batting smarts, understand Dravids vision and commitment to success, to his nation..and develop his own, relative to himself and the westindies

oh man. it looks like a lot of things have caught up with India not least of which are injuries.

to lose Sewag, Gambir, Khan is not easy to overcome. and players like Inshant must be tired to the core. it is not easy to run off now his fifth test in a row with 2 more to follow as a fast bowler..now the attack leader.

Harbajan is not taking wickets anymore, Mukund needs experience. Raina is a fighting player down at he end of the batting order. but he and Yuvraj are not Laxman and Dravid. these two are support players and in the normal flow of things only one wud make the side.

and another factor that seems to be now coming to light is Dhonis captaincy which apparently leaves a lot to be desired recently..if we are to take seriously certain commentaries on the 2 tests so far..

england is rampaging, a sight in cricket I am not too happy to see. can India regroup and take the next 2 for certainly this current one is already lost?

tht depends I am sure on the fitness of their missing stars. will they be ready....?
