Soon we will have a St Lucian team representing WI The South Castries Cricket Association has planned two activities this weekend to celebrate the selection of national cricketer Johnson Charles on the West Indies Twenty20 team for the upcoming tour of England later this month.
The many cricket enthusiasts coming to le-nd their support to this thrilling Twenty20 encounter between South Castries X1 and Lotteries X1 at the Beausejour Cricket Ground from 5:30pm can rest assured of some powerful hitting with balls going out of the BCG. According to the organizers the Lotteries X1 will comprise a number of current senior and junior national players. The South Castries X1 will also comprise a number of current and past national players.
Current West Indies Captain Darren Sammy is expected to lead the charge for the South Castries X1, while St. Lucia and Windward Islands middle order batsman Keddy Lesporis takes charge of the Lotteries X1.
