The IPL runs until May 27, in the middle of the second Test....

That's good news for Pollard and Big Bravo, who can't make the Test side, but would be a potential area of conflict for Gayle and Taylor, and any other potential Test player who could stir up interest from the IPL.

westindies better hope for a warm spring in england.

but the way the weather has been cold for so long in the year...these past few years, it doh look good.

it looks lke another shivering tour, at least the first part of it....cold, stiff fingers and straight cutarse for the westindies in frigid and unhappy weather.

skunt hunte and skunny hilarie still cyar say no to the englishman.

it does not make sensse to start so early in england. deh shud start by mid to third week in may at earliest... and the first test by the second week in june

Depends on the weather, which, as maps rightly points out, can be stupidly cold in early May. Why the ECB insists on subjecting tourists to this brutally cold weather is beyond me....
:?
The WICB should've done what Sri Lanka did this year - refuse to tour earlier than mid-May. The Sri Lankans first tour match was on May 14, and their first Test started on May 26. In contrast, the WI's first tour match is May 5, and the first Test starts on May 14.

It seems the WICB only have strength for their own players....
