Lyndel Wright, the President of the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA), says he has told Chris Gayle to apologize to the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) and coach Ottis Gibson but he has refused to do so.

The JCA has intervened in the ongoing dispute between Gayle and the WICB in a bid to help the Jamaican regain his place in the regional set up.

However, according to Wright, Gayle maintains that he has done nothing for which he needs to apologize.

gayle has nuttent to apologise for! it would be ridiculous for a grown man to apologise publicly for no reason at all.

and why wud the JCA ask him to aplogise in these circumstances? why seek to humiliate one of your own publicly?

is this the way to resolve an issue like this..by requiring one party to humilate themselves....to confess to something they did not do...disrespect the wicb?

gayle is not my favourite player but I will not stoop to crap like this. I iwll not treat anyone as unfairy as this, to rtequire them to abase themsleves like that!

thi is the way the westindian blac elite treats their own, like children.

it is like gayle is still in primary school/high schools in the westindies and the teachers can still clout or whip his rarse anytime they feeel like it..or force him to behave exactly like deh want him to behave anytime they want.

I support gayle fully in this. the wicb/jca is a joke. as I said there is a case to drop gayle and move on. let them articulate that case..or any case deh have...and express it publicly, drop the man, stand on their decision good or bad...and move on.

all this is stupid, humiliating...very unbecoming and unnecessary.

wat I meant to say is that the wicb shud say deh are not playing gayle again, that deh are going in another direction, and gayle does not suit their plans.

that shud end the nonsense. thats is what I meant!

Agreed maps, but in effect, haven"t they been saying that? A radical anti_establishment man?

The WICB need to realise that there's not a lot of talent in our ranks....

It's important to look for solutions, and not erect obstacles. With his 20/20 stocks rising so high, he doesn't need to apologise, or play for the Windies, to make a good living from cricket.
