I told you guys that the WICb were thinking about letting the HPC play in the four day competition and it looks like it's happening according to the latest statement they've made..
8. The Board received a report on the Sagicor HPC programme. Sagicor HPC will be run, as a one year programme, from May to April and the Sagicor HPC team will participate in the senior men’s regional tournaments.

I THINK IT'S BRILLIANT NEWS!!..far too many talented youngsters in the region have been left on the sidelines in favor of garbage "seniors", for example Jamaica were playing Andrew Richardson instead of Sheldon Cotterrell, Yannic Cariah was getting messed around by Trinidad despite getting around nine wickets in the few games he played, Delorn Johnson had to sit because Winwards prefer Keon Peters, Amir Khan can barely get a chance because Guyana have Bishoo and Permaul, Jahmar Hamilton usually has to sit because of Devon Thomas, Andre Stoll sits because of an average bowler like Esuan Crandon... the list is endless,

But with this new policy it will really benefit our cricket in the long run, the more talent that plays first class cricket the better it will be for us, i made this argument to one of the top dogs in the WICB and at the time i was told they were gonna have a meeting about it and it could happen, so needless to say i'm happy to have played a part in influencing this decision!! .

Today we're seeing why this decision is so important, the CCC team are made up of players rarely used by their countries, the likes of Kantasingh has never got a chance with Trinidad, Dawes was ignored for large spells by Jamaica and Mayers is behind the likes of Holder and Roach for Bim, can't wait to see the next batch of players line up for HPC in the four day competition.
