Former West Indies player, Michael Holding says the West Indies Cricket Board should state clearly what they want Chris Gayle to retract and apologize for in his public criticism earlier this year.
The world renowned commentator says Gayle was not slanderous in all his comments during the interview and there is no need for him to retract or apologize for all that he has said.
“Not everything that Chris Gayle has said is incorrect or blasphemous or libelous or whatever they want to call it. He has said a lot of things,”
“I was in a state of ignorance because I didn’t know if they had written to Chris Gayle and said ‘this is what you need to retract, this is what you need to apologize for’ but if you are asking Chris Gayle to retract everything that he has said, that is absolute rubbish,” Holding said.
