For years that deluded IDIOT''S main line has always been "our players are part timers"..well i've got some info that proves that that SKUNT is nothing but a lying phony,

here is his quote..
POINT wrote:
Our Players do not play enough Cricket to build up their Mental and Physical Stamina which would be very helpful in making them competitive . The reason why Kanhai , Sobers et al could bat for long hours is due to the fact that they were Full Time Players . It also explains why Pace bowlers like Holding and others had the ability to bowl unchanged for over an hour .

The Physical and Mental strengths of our Players started declining when our Players were banned from England , this relegated their status to being Part Time Cricketers . The Sad thing is that the WICB seems either not to have recognized this , or completely ignored it ; despite the fact that One of the main problems of Cricket in the Region is that our Players are not playing enough Cricket in all the versions of the game .
Ok then lets compare the amount of matches in all forms of the game our players have played in 2011 to the WORLD NUMBER ONE SIDE England!!..

WEST INDIES TEST SQUAD.. 2011

Barath=24 matches plus one warm up game
Brathwaite= 35 matches in youth and senior games plus one warm up match
Powell=16 matches plus a warm up match
Edwards= 17 matches
Darren Bravo= 53 games plus three warm up matches
Chanders= 24 and two warm up matches
Samuels= 41 plus three warm ups
Baugh= 26 matches plus one warm ups
Sammy=44 matches including three warm ups
Roach= 32 matches plus three warm ups
Fidel= 15 matches but he just came back from injury
Simmons=40 matches plus two warm up matches
Bishoo=34 plus two warm up matches
Rampaul=35 games plus two warm up matches
Ramdin=27 games plus two warm up matches

NOW ENGLAND PLAYERS IN 2011...

Cook= 36 matches plus two warm up games
Strauss= 29 matches plus two warm up games
Pieterson= 37 plus three warm up games
Trott= 42 matches plus three warm up games
Bell=42 matches and three warm up games
Morgan= 40 plus one warm up game
Prior= 38 matches
Bresnan= 40 plus one warm up game
Broad= 25 matches
Swann= 38 matches and one warm up game
Anderson= 30 matches
Finn=41 plus a warm up game
Bopara= 59 matches plus one warm up
Tremlett= 17 matches

I got those stats from cricketarchive.com

So those are the matches both our players and the English players have played IN ALL FORMS OF THE GAMES for both their country and county/island, now lets see the tallys

player with 40 games or over

England= 6
Wi=4

players between 30-39 games

England= 4
WI=4

players Under 30 games

England= 3
Wi= 7

IS THERE MUCH BETWEEN THE TWO? :roll: , now consider this...

THE ENGLISH COUNTY SEASON IS DONE AND ENGLAND WON'T BE PLAYING FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR, West indies players on the other hand have potentially EIGHT MORE GAMES TO PLAY in India, therefore our players tallys are only gonna rise while Englands stay the same,

And when you compare our players matches to most of the SA, PAK and NZ players we come out way ahead this year aswell, so the moral of the story is DON'T LISTEN TO THAT LYING COWARD POINT WHEN HE SAYS "OUR PLAYERS ARE PART TIMERS", IT'S NOTHING BUT A LOAD OF CRAP :lol: .
