He's certain to play the ODi's imo, but i was hoping he'd go to India right now and replace Shillingford (who shouldn't be anywhere near the team at the momentBallOil wrote:He can still get there for the ODIs...


As a youngster he was a sensation in the longer version, taking 6fers for fun, ended up with close to 100 wickets in the games he played for Trini and WI u19s.

Actually, this is a good sign that indicates that Narine is now on the WI selectors radar. The fact that he's playing for the A team means he won't play Tests against India, but will gain valuable experience against Bangladesh in the four-day format.
I would also like to see anyone I named in my Super50 team of the tournament in the ODI squad. However, after this Test series, we take a break until the Aussies come in the spring, so Narine has time to replace Amit Jaggernaut in the Trinidad squad for the regional four-day tournament....
