Well done to the Non-HPC players for getting us teh win. HPC players the 6 of you all should be ashamed of yourselves for your generally sub-par performances through the series.

Break down the performances of the 6 HPC players

Chandrika-poor
Corbin-poor
Thomas-poor
Bonner- OK
Permaul- failed to impress
GAbriel- failed to impress

Thats teh majority of the 11. Bowling relied on Pascal and Russell, batting on Hyatt, Carter and Narine in this match and Brathwaite, Russell, Hyatt and Bonner in teh first match.

When we needed the HPC players espescially teh batters to step up they failed to do so at teh crucial times

Wow, joshua, that's a good breakdown....

I didn't realise that the HPC players were getting such a free ride.

I agree with your classifications, except that I would probably upgrade Gabriel from 'failed to impress' to 'OK'. I mean, he did take six wickets at an average of 25....
:)
But I totally agree with you - as a pace bowler, he was outshone by Russell (14 wkts @ 12) and Pascal (9 wkts @ 21).

I agree but according to AFRO...its nat the performance that matters, its the INTERNATIONAL experience that is the WICB # 1 Priority...

Are yuh not giving Permaul any credit for LEADERSHIP? He sacrificed his bowling for the betterment of the TEAM....and he won the SERIES!!!

Gabriel took wickets though and Chandrika's knock in the second test was vital in winning the game!! , the only one's who totally flopped were Corbin and Thomas imo, the others done very well in spells.

The stats don't reflect your opinion....

1) Danza Hyatt 160 runs @ average of 40 - GOOD

2) Raj Chandrika 70 runs @ 17 - FAIL

3) Kyle Corbin 31 runs @ 17 - FAIL

4) Jonathan Carter 104 runs @ 26 - FAIL

5) Nkrumah Bonner 196 runs @ 49 - GOOD

6) Devon Thomas 8 runs @ 2 - BIG TIME FAIL

7) Andre Russell 147 runs @ 42 and 14 wkts @ 12 -DAMN GOOD

8) Carlo Brathwaite - 90 runs @ 45 and 0 wkts @ 67 - PASS

9) Nelon Pascal - nine wkts @ 21 - GOOD

10) Shannon Gabriel - six wickets @ 25 - PASS

11) Veerasammy Permaul - three wkts @ 40 - FAIL

12) Sunil Narine - 66 runs and two wkts @ 31 - PASS

So, Permaul, Thomas, Corbin, Carter and Chandrika all failed....

Will we see the next A team selected on merit? Or will the usual favouritism towards non-performers from the HPC continue?
8-)

What the feck do you mean "the facts don't reflect my opinion"? DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT "IN SPELLS" MEANS MIKE? because even an old fool like you should know that that 40 knock by Chandrika in the second test WAS VITAL to the team winning the game, plus Carter's knock in the second test aswell, judging their potential on the evidence of two tests is plain STUPID imo, because the likes of Permaul has impressed against Pakistan-A already and has taken tons of wickets domestically,

And if you want to judge things all by stats can you post Sarwan's from the Pakistan and India series please? and then explain why you want him back in the team? :|

"In spells" is not good enough, especially for the A team against lowly Bangladesh....

A good knock in one out of four innings against one of the weakest sides in 'Test' cricket is not acceptable.

If they can't perform against Bangladesh, how are they going to fare against A teams from England, Australia, India and South Africa? The five I failed need to go back to domestic cricket, and leave the A team to more deserving players....
